Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said here on Wednesday that a new round of indirect peace talks with Israel was postponed at the request of the Jewish state.

Muallem made the remarks after meeting with his visiting Spanish counterpart Miguel Angel Moratinos, saying that a new time to resume the talks had not been decided yet.
