Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Wednesday afternoon cast his ballot in the Primary of his ruling Kadima party designed to elect his successor.
At the polling station in Jerusalem, Olmert refused to answer any questions, yet said to reporters that it was a "happy voting" and that "I will see you soon."
The embattled premier, embroiled in a series of police investigations, has promised to step down as soon as his party chooses his succor among Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz, Public Security Minister Avi Dichter and Interior Minister Meir Sheetrit.
The winner will become the third leader of the Kadima party which was formed three years ago. Source: Xinhua
