Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh lashed out the terrorist attack on U.S. embassy which killed 16 people on Wednesday, vowing to continue efforts in fighting terror and organized crime, the official SABA news agency reported on Friday.

"Security forces can not stop the terrorist from death because he has already decided to die," the president was quoted by SABA as saying at a cultural symposium held in Hudeidah University on Thursday.

"These terrorist actions are against all people, not against political system only, they are against development, stability and Islamic religion," he added.

Meanwhile, 25 al-Qaida-linked suspects have been arrested for their involvement in Wednesday's deadly blast, as the country's security forces beefed up security measures at the foreign embassies and diplomatic offices in the capital of Sanaa, according to the interior ministry.

More suspects are now being pursued by the forces since an investigation into the circumstances of the terrorist attack is still under way.

On Wednesday, two explosions went off near the U.S. embassy in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa. The attack on the gate of the U.S. Embassy by a half dozen gunmen and two vehicles packed with explosives killed six soldiers, six assailants and four others, including an American and her Yemeni husband.
