Israeli outgoing Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will be questioned again by the police next Thursday, following the Jewish New Year's Day, the local website Ynet reported Wednesday.
The interrogation session will begin at 10 am (0700 GMT) at his official Jerusalem residence, the report said.
Olmert submitted his resignation letter to President Shimon Peres on Sunday evening, formally stepping down from the premiership.
But he will remain in power as caretaker prime minister, with his government as a caretaker government, till the formation of a new government, a task Peres assigned to the new Kadima chair Tzipi Livni.
Dogged by a series of police probes, including corruption and fraud allegations, Olmert announced on July 30 that he would resign upon the election of a new Kadima leader.
Meanwhile, Olmert has also said he would resign if indicted. Israeli police has recommended the state prosecution to indict Olmert, yet the prosecution has not yet made its decision.
Olmert's spokesman Mark Regev said that even if Olmert would be indicted during the interim period, he would not resign again. Source:Xinhua
