The first session of Egyptian-sponsored inter-Palestinian dialogue will start on Nov. 14, an official of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement said on Monday.
"The dialogue will start on Nov. 14 though we demanded an earlier appointment in order to settle this issue before the end of October," said Nabil Shaath who will lead Fatah delegation to the dialogue.
Shaath said the Egyptians will decide to advance the dialogue after they meet leaders of Islamic Hamas movement in the coming two days in Cairo.
Hamas would be the last Palestinian faction to present its vision to the Egyptians on how to end the Palestinian political split which widened after Hamas ousted Fatah, routed pro-Abbas forces and seized control of the Gaza Strip.
Shaath said that most of the Palestinian factions, except Hamas, have agreed to form a Palestinian government that can overcome Israeli blockade on the Hamas-control Gaza, reforming the Palestinian security services and holding early presidential and parliamentary elections.
But a Hamas official said on Monday that his movement would reject any offer that calls for forming a technocrat government without the participation of Hamas and holding early elections.
