Iran's Air Force is going to start a large-scale wargame on Thursday, the semi-official Fars news agency reported here on Wednesday.
The wargame will start from Tabriz, capital city of north-western province of East Azerbaijan, the report quoted the Public Relations of Iran's Army Air Force as saying.
Defense politics, psychological operations, innovations during the wargame and competition among the operational forces are among the objectives of the drill.
The fighter jets of F4, F5, F7, F14, Thunderbolt (domestic Saegeh), Sukhoi and the fuel carrier of Boeing 707 will comprise the fighter fleet of this war drill, the report said, adding that the air fleet from aviation bases of Tehran, Tabriz, Hamadan, Dezfool and Isfahan would participate in this war exercise.
Iran has claimed that it has conducted another high-scale war exercise of its air crafts earlier this summer.
Reiterating the retaliation in case of any aggression, the Iranian president warned on Wednesday that Iran would cut off the hands of the aggressor to his country.
The United States and Israel have consistently refused to rule out the possibility of military strikes against Iran over its refusal to halt its disputed nuclear program.
