A U.S. military helicopter crashed Saturday in Mosul, killing two U.S. crew members aboard, said the military.

An OH-58 Kiowa Warrior, a light-weight helicopter, made a hard landing at about 6:10 p.m. (1510 GMT) when it came in contact with wires, according to the military.

It ruled out the possibility of hostile fire.

Earlier report said one of the pilots was believed to be killed and another one was missing.

Two U.S. transport helicopter crashed on Oct. 4 in Baghdad when they collided during landing, killing one soldier aboard and leaving four wounded.
