President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan met here Wednesday with his Egyptian counterpart Hosni Mubarak to boost bilateral cooperation, the official Emirates News Agency reported.
During the talks, the two leaders reviewed the ways to enhance ties between the UAE and Egypt and pledged to further develop the cooperation and joint coordination, especially in the fields of economy, trade and investment, the report said.
Sheikh Khalifa and Mubarak also exchanged views on the current situations in the region with particular emphasis on Middle East peace process, calling for the international efforts to achieve stability and security through the resumption of the peace process in accordance with the legitimate international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Mubarak arrived in UAE capital of Abu Dhabi on Wednesday afternoon during a two-day visit to the gulf country.
