An Iranian official Thursday said that Tehran would continue comprehensive and constructive interaction with the UN nuclear watchdog, the official IRNA news agency reported.
"The new report released by Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei on Wednesday showed that Iran continues cooperation with the IAEA based on the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)," said Mohammad Saeedi, deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization for International Affairs.
"Iran has prepared ground for the IAEA to inspect its nuclear facilities within the framework of the NPT," Saeedi said, adding that since Iran has fully materialized agreement with IAEA, no more issues remain in this regard.
Iran's ambassador to the IAEA Ali-Asghar Soltaniyeh told IRNA on Wednesday that the IAEA had 20 snap inspections to Iran's nuclear facilities since March, 2007, but found no evident about non-peaceful activities. Western countries did not have a positive approach towards the country.
Although the IAEA said that Iran did not suspend enrichment, the new report proved that Tehran has fulfilled all its commitments.
The United States and other western countries keep accusing Iran of secretly developing nuclear weapons, but Iran insists that its nuclear plans are only for peaceful purpose.
