Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was questioned on Friday for the twelfth time in a series of ongoing fraud investigation, police sources said.
The questioning, which took place at his Jerusalem residence and lasted for about two hours, focused on the Investment Center and political appointments affair, according to the police sources.
It is suspected that during his tenure as industry, trade and labor minister, Olmert granted favors to a factory represented by his associate, attorney Uri Messer, through the ministry's Investment Center.
The outgoing prime minister, currently under five corruption probes, announced in August that he would step down after his replacement was elected in the then-upcoming Kadima primaries.
However, as new Kadima chair Tzipi Livni failed to form a coalition, Olmert will remain caretaker leader of the government until the general elections in February. Source:Xinhua
