Thousands of people on Sunday joined demonstrations across Turkey to protest against the Israeli raids on Gaza, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Political parties and non-governmental organizations held demonstrations in different provinces protesting the Israeli strikes, according to the report.
Thousands of people attended the demonstrations, chanting slogans and carrying banners condemning Israel and demanding an immediate halt to Israeli bombing in Gaza Strip, said the report, adding that some protesters burnt Israeli flags and effigies.
The report said the Felicity Party held a rally in Istanbul to protest against the Israeli incursion and Turkish security forces took tight measures during the rally.
Nearly 500 people have been killed and thousands of others injured since the beginning of Israeli offensive against Gaza on Dec. 27. Source:Xinhua
