Israel is considering on Wednesday to expel the Venezuelan ambassador in response to Venezuela's expulsion of the Israeli ambassador.
Israel's foreign ministry is now convening a meeting on this matter, and expulsion is one of the options, said Andy David, deputy spokesman of the ministry, stressing that no final decision has been reached yet.
On Tuesday, Venezuela ordered Israel's ambassador out of the country, in protest over Israel's military operation in Gaza Strip, where over 600 have been killed and more than 2,700 injured since Dec. 27.
