Turkish Foreign Ministry Thursday condemned two separate suicide attacks and a car bomb attack in Baghdad and Kirkuk of Iraq.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that "we have learned with deep sorrow that two separate suicide attacks and a car bomb attack that took place in Baghdad and Kirkuk."

A spate of deadly bombings struck Baghdad and the northern city of Kirkuk within 24 hours on Wednesday evening and Thursday, leaving up to 65 people killed and some 145 others injured.

"We observe with great regret and concern that there has been a recent upsurge in the acts of terrorism in Iraq... We condemn these latest abhorrent terrorist attacks in the strongest terms and we call on all the parties in Iraq to put an end to violence and contribute to peace and security in the country," the statement added.
