Syria and Yemen Sunday signed 13 documents, Memos of Understanding (MoU) and executive programs to boost cooperation in various fields, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
The bilateral agreements were inked at the closing meeting of the two-day 9th session of the Syrian-Yemeni Higher Committee, co-chaired by Syrian Prime Minister Mohammed Naji Otri and his Yemeni counterpart Ali Mohammad Mujawwar.
The agreements included an executive program on cooperation in tourism, an executive program of exports, MoU of consumer protection, two executive programs on cooperation in communication, information technology and electricity.
The two sides expressed satisfaction over the level of bilateral relations and pledged to enhance them in various fields.
Meanwhile, they said the two countries support the dialogue among the Palestinian groups, calling on the international community to take tangible measures to lift the siege on the Palestinian people, halt the repeated Israeli attacks and end Israeli settlement activities.
They also said they support to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and the return of all the refugees.
Otri and Mujawwar held talks Saturday at the beginning of the meetings of the Syrian-Yemeni Joint Higher Committee, expressing the mutual desire to bolster bilateral ties on economic, commercial, cultural and scientific levels, according to SANA report.
Mujawwar arrived in Damascus on Saturday to chair his country's delegation at the scheduled meeting of the joint committee.
