The Lebanese Foreign Ministry and the Lebanese Shiite armed group Hezbollah both criticized Thursday UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's 10th report on the implementation of UN resolution 1701, local Elnashra website reported.

"The report did not consider the Israeli spying networks as a violation of Lebanon's sovereignty," but only said that the alleged networks "could threaten the delicate ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel," the Foreign Ministry statement said.

Hezbollah, as well, criticized the report Thursday saying that "Israel is responsible for crimes and attacks during the July 2006war, and is a prime suspect in many cases against Lebanon's internal security through its spying networks."

Hezbollah hoped that the report would have clearly indicated the danger of such Israeli acts and "violations of Lebanese sovereignty."

Israel and Hezbollah fought a devastating 34-day war in July 2006. UN resolution 1701, however, ended the war calling for the cease of hostile activities between the two sides.

The Lebanese security bodies have uncovered since April this year several Israeli-linked spying networks.
