Egyptian forces arrest Israeli along Rafah border

Egyptian security forces arrested an Israeli national as he was trying to sneak across the Israeli-Egyptian border with an African migrant, security and medical sources told Xinhua on Monday.
Yotam Feldman, a 30-year-old Israeli national, told the Egyptian police that he is a journalist and he came to Sinai to make some reports about the African migrants who try to sneak into Israel through Egypt.
He added that he was arrested on his way back home.
Feldman hurt his hand on the barbed wire fence as he was trying to cross the border, medical sources at Rafah hospital said.
Egyptian border has long been a transit for illegal African migrants to seek jobs in Tel Aviv. Although Egypt has stepped up patrols to stop migrants in recent years, and the total number of 2008 reached 1,016, according to official statistics.
