Syria's Assad discusses with Saudi King bilateral, regional issues

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad discussed Thursday with visiting Saudi king Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bilateral relations and the latest regional and international developments.
The Saudi king arrived in Damascus on Thursday for a two-day official visit.
Syria is the second leg of the king's regional tour starting from Egypt, which will also take him to Lebanon and Jordan.
Syrian and Lebanese sources reported on Wednesday that leaders of Syria, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon will hold a summit in Beirut on Friday.
Saudi Arabia is Syria's first commercial partner in the Arab world.
