France on Wednesday strongly condemned the suicide attack in which four policemen were killed in Algeria, assuring the Algerian government of France's support on its anti-terrorism effort.
"We strongly condemn the attack which happened this morning in Naciria," said Pascale Andreani, spokesman of the French Foreign Affairs Ministry.
He added that the French authority "reaffirms the solidarity with the Algerian authority in the fight against terrorism."
Four policemen were killed and 12 persons including nine policemen were injured Wednesday morning in a suicide car bomb attack near a police station in Naciria in the region of Boumerdes,50 km east of Algiers, the capital of Algeria.
The attack took place two weeks after a suicide car bomb attack killed 41 persons, including 17 UN employees, in Algiers.
