Vietnam will continue to foster its solidarity, friendly and cooperative relations with Rwanda, for the benefit of the two peoples, peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world, said a Vietnamese party leader.

Vietnam is ready to share experiences, especially in the fields of agricultural development, poverty reduction, and education and training, with Rwanda, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nong Duc Manh said Monday while meeting with visiting Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

Paul Kagame, visiting Vietnam from May 23-26, affirmed that Rwanda wants to beef up the friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two countries and the two peoples.

The visit's outcome is a historical milestone in the two countries' relations, the Rwandan president noted.
