The Finnish government will this year spend 18 billion kwacha (about 5 million U.S. dollars) under the programming for Luapula agriculture rural development, according to Sunday Times of Zambia.

The three-year program worth 50 billion kwacha started last year as a partnership with the Zambian government.

The program is aimed at improving agricultural activities in Luapula province of the country.

Luapula province acting permanent secretary Llement Siame said recently that the program will promote the commercialization of the agriculture of the province.
