Kenya's cricket officials have refuted reports that agreement has been reached with Zimbabwe to play four matches in Nairobi in October.

Media reports reported on Saturday that the series had been announced by Cricket Kenya (CK) board, but cricket's world body said in its news release on Sunday that while it was hoped to host Zimbabwe later this year, there had been no response from Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) to proposals.

The last series between the two countries was almost three years ago when they drew 2-2 in Zimbabwe.

The east African nation has been trying to get a return series arranged ever since but the Zimbabwe board has failed to agree to tour.
