Spain's highest court, the National Audience, approved Tuesday a temporary extradition of a Moroccan convict involved in 2004 Madrid train bombing that killed 191 people, Morocco's MAP news agency reported.
The Spanish court made the approval because Hassan El Haski, a 45-year-old Moroccan serving a 14-year prison term in Spain, will face charges in Morocco for alleged involvement in Casablanca blasts in 2003 that left 45 people killed, including 12 bombers, said the MAP.
According to the court's rule, the Moroccan will be extradited for a period of six months, and if his trial in Morocco requires more time, extradition can be extended.
Haski is believed to be the leader of the Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group (MICG), an al-Qaida linked group that committed the Casablanca bombings. Source:Xinhua
