At least 10 people were killed when a building in the northern Egyptian port city of Alexandria on early Wednesday, security sources said.
The four-story building collapsed before dawn on Wednesday in downtown Alexandria, reported the state MENA news agency.
The bodies of the victims have been pulled from the rubble and 10 other people were injured in the accident, said the report.
Rescue team are searching on the spot for survivors and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collapse.
Building collapse incidents occurred from time to time in Egypt. In a similar accident last December, at least 35 were killed when a 12-storey residential building collapsed in Alexandria.
