Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe arrived in Harare on Wednesday from the historic SADC, COMESA and East African Community summit, according to Thursday's The Herald.

The summit endorsed a Memorandum of Understanding spelling out terms of cooperation and integration among the three regional economic groupings.

Leaders from the three trade blocs hailed the joint summit, saying it provided a platform for integrating development processes on the continent.

Zimbabwe's Minister of Industry and International Trade Obert Mpofu, who accompanied President Mugabe to the summit, said the summit had made significant strides through focusing on major issues of broadening integration between the three trading blocs.
