Sheik Sharif Shiek Ahmed, leader of the main opposition faction which signed a peace deal with the Somali transitional government recently, Saturday arrived in the central Somali town of Jawhar, local radio reports said.

He is in Jawhar, the provincial capital of Middle Shabelle region, to help implement the peace deal, reports said. It is the first time he gets back to the country since early 2007 when he left after the Ethiopian troops entered Somalia to expel a Islamic movement led by Ahmed.
