Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni on Thursday begin a two-day visit to Nigeria and would be leading a 69-man delegation to hold a business forum with the officials of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council, , according to the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday.

The visiting president will also deliver the 2008 lecture of the Nigerian Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies in Nigeria's Northeast Plateau State during the official visit to Nigeria.

The institute is Nigeria's foremost institution that gathers Nigerians from all spheres of life to carry out researches on topical national and international issues with a view to formulating policies for the nation.

He delivered a similar lecture in 2001 at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji in Kaduna State.

Nigeria and Uganda hold similar views on major political, economic and social issues including the membership of the African Union, the Commonwealth, the Non-Aligned Movement, the World Trade Organization and the United Nations.

The two countries have entered into some agreements such as the Technical Aid Corps, Cultural and Educational Cooperation and Investment Promotion and Protection agreement and Bilateral Air Services Agreement.
