The World Bank (WB) will offer Vietnam a preferential credit of 50 million U.S. dollars, helping it develop infrastructure of Ho Chi Minh City, the country's southern economic hub, from now to 2012.
Under an agreement signed here Friday between the WB and the State Bank of Vietnam, the infrastructure development project is also designed to catalyze the private sector's participation in financing the municipal infrastructure.
The project is expected to develop a model public-private partnership for infrastructure development, said Ajay Chhibber, Country Director of the WB in Vietnam. Source: Xinhua
