U.S. President George W. Bush will meet UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Friday for talks on world issues, including Iraq and Afghanistan, the White House said Monday.
Bush "looks forward to discussing with Secretary-General Ban important issues in the United Nations including human rights, counterterrorism, and international peace and security," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.
"We expect the President and the Secretary-General to address the situation in Kosovo, Burma, Sudan, Iran, Lebanon, and Kenya; the recent attacks on the leaders of Timor-Leste; as well as international support for Iraq and Afghanistan," she said. Source: Xinhua
