European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana urged on Wednesday the actors of the Kenyan crisis to reach a substantial political agreement.
"The ongoing situation is not only a threat to peace, prosperity and stability of Kenya but it also affects the stability of an already fragile region," he said in a statement.
He urged Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki and opposition leader Raila Odinga to reach a substantial political agreement to take Kenya out of the crisis in which it has been immersed since the announcement of the results of the Dec. 27 presidential elections.
Solana repeated his full support to the efforts former UN chief Kofi Annan has made in mediating talks between the Kenyan political rivals to end the crisis. Source: Xinhua
