UN chief condemns terrorist attacks in Pakistan |

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned on Tuesday the latest terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Ban said he was shocked and saddened to learn of the double suicide bombing in the city of Lahore today which reportedly claimed a large number of innocent lives and injured scores more.
The Secretary-General strongly condemned these indiscriminate acts of terrorism and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
Ban said he is concerned by the increase of terrorist attacks in Pakistan over the past few months and welcomes the resolve of the Government and people of Pakistan to unite against the scourge of terrorism.
According to statistics provided by the Pakistani government, as many as 24 people were killed and 170 others injured in twin suicide bombing attacks in eastern Pakistan on Tuesday.
