EC praises 5th LAC-EU summit in Peru |

European Commission (EC) President Jose Barroso Wednesday praised the importance of the 5th Latin American, Caribbean and European Union (LAC-EU) summit in Lima.
Barroso and Peruvian President Alan Garcia met on Wednesday and agreed to strength ties between both regions.
"We will do all on our side to make Peru Summit not just simply a summit, but a summit that could mark compromise of cooperation between Latin America and Europe," Barroso said.
The summit began Wednesday with the 26th Plenary Session of High Officers and will continue on Thursday with Foreign Ministers of 60 countries participating. The meeting will end on Saturday with meetings to coordinate in future trade agreements.
