UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has strongly condemned Monday's car bombing outside the Danish Embassy in Islamabad which reportedly killed at least six and injured dozens of others.

"The secretary-general reiterates his total rejection of such acts of terrorism and expresses condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government of Pakistan," said a statement issued by his press office.

A security guard at a nearby UNDP (UN Development Program) building was among those killed, and six locally recruited staff working for a UNDP project were injured.
