European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana condemned here on Monday suicide bombing at Denmark's embassy in Pakistan as "outrageous."
"I condemn this morning's outrageous terrorist attack against the Danish Embassy in Islamabad," Solana said in a statement following the bombing.
He expressed his condolences to the authorities of Denmark and Pakistan and to the families of the dead and injured.
On the same day, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso also issued a short statement, condemning the attack.
"I want to condemn this despicable act of violence and wish to express my condolences to the families of the victims. I also want to express the solidarity of the European Commission with the citizens and the authorities of Denmark," he said.
It was reported that the suicide car bombing killed at least eight people, including two Pakistani police officers at the embassy, and wounded nearly 30 others.
