Climate change and ecological sustainability are among the key topics to be discussed at the 2nd International CEOs Conference (ICC08) in Kota Kinabalu, capital of Malaysian eastern Sabah state on June 16-17, local media reported on Wednesday.

"The topic of climate change was included as it is an issue that is of great concern to many of us," said Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman, who is chairman of the main organizing committee.

International speakers include former New Zealand prime minister Mike Moore and Australia's Natural Fuel Limited chairman John Hewson, the New Straits Times reported.

Panel members include Malaysia World Wide Fund for Nature CEO Dionysius S. K. Sharma and Lancaster University senior lecturer Nick A. Chappell.

Founder and CEO of Oxbridge Climate Capital of Britain Kenny Ang will chair the discussion.

More than 400 CEOs from Europe, the United States, Africa, the Middle East and Asia have confirmed participation in the conference which is organized by the Yayasan Sabah Group in collaboration with the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute.

"We are awaiting confirmation from another 100 potential participants," said Musa.
