A Chinese senior diplomat said here on Tuesday that Asian-African countries' exchange and coordination on major international and regional issues embodies the Principles of Bandung.
The conference held in Bandung in 1955 was the general recognition for all Asian and African countries, China's special envoy for Middle East Affairs Sun Bigan told Xinhua on Tuesday
Sun, on behalf of the Chinese government and Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi congratulated the participating countries of Ministerial Conference on Capacity Building for Palestine in Jakarta, Indonesia.
No matter how big, and how prosperous the country is, according to Sun, Asian and African countries should keep striving for the conducive real peace including the conditions in the occupied Palestinian territory.
The core of the Middle East issue is not merely a matter of just and lasting solution, but world's stability.
"And today's conference once again shows our sincere and enduring support for Palestinian people in restoring legitimate national rights," said Sun during the visit to the Museum of The Asian-African Conference in Bandung on Tuesday.
The conference formulated follow up mechanism in which individual and collective pledges on Capacity Building for Palestine would be well prepared.
The Chinese side will earnestly study the projects raised by the Palestinian side, and choose the feasible ones through bilateral consultations. "This would meet the request of the Palestinian side to the best of its capacity," said Sun.
Formulated programs such as diplomatic training, apprenticeship, women empowerment offer capacity building projects of Palestine. All will be implemented through various means.
The Chinese side has carried out many training programs for Palestine National Authority and provided necessary facilities and materials in relevant fields.
