The UN Security Council is to hold another emergency session Monday afternoon to discuss the fighting in Georgia.

The meeting will be held at 5:00 p.m. (2100 GMT) at the request of Georgia, a UN spokesperson said.

It will be the 15-member body's fifth round of emergency talks since late-night Thursday, when the council started a so far unsuccessful endeavor to agree on a statement calling for an immediate cease-fire.
