UN Security Council meets over Georgian conflict |

The UN Security Council began on Tuesday afternoon an emergency meeting to discuss the Georgian conflict.
UN political chief Lynn Pascoe and UN Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Edmond Mulet briefed the council on the latest developments in Georgia.
The 15-member body was due to consider a draft resolution on Georgia circulated by France that demands compliance with cease-fire and the immediate withdrawal of Russian and Georgian forces.
