UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon will make a two-day visit to Dhaka on Nov. 1-2, leading English daily The Financial Express reported Saturday.

The Foreign Adviser Iftikhar Ahmed Chowdhury of Bangladesh caretaker government disclosed this at a new conference briefing local Bangladesh media in a hotel in New York on Thursday, the newspaper said.

The secretary general will make an on-the-spot study about the government's effort at holding the ninth parliamentary elections on Dec. 18, the newspaper said.
