Three civilians were wounded by an "accidental fire" of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) on Friday in Kabul, said an ISAF statement released here.
"An ISAF patrol was traveling to a base in Kabul city when a machine gun on one of the vehicles accidentally discharged, slightly wounding three civilians," the statement said.
Policemen took the wounded civilians to a local hospital, it added.
Both ISAF and the U.S.-led Coalition forces have committed such "mistakes" during operations since their deployment here nearly seven years ago and claimed many civilian lives.
Conflicts and spiraling insurgency so far this year have claimed the lives of over 4,000 people with around 1,500 civilians despite over 70,000 foreign troops in the war-torn Afghanistan. Source: Xinhua
