Two people sustained minor injuries when a helicopter of the United Nations Operation in Coted'Ivoire (UNOCI) crashed in the country's western region, a UNOCI communique said Tuesday.
The helicopter, with six people on board, was on a mission between the western cities of Daloa and Danane. It crashed while landing in Danane at 1200 GMT.
The two injured were sent to hospital in the city of Abidjan on Tuesday afternoon.
The UNOCI has launched an investigation into the incident, the communique added.
About 8000 peacekeeping troops and 1000 UN staffs are currently stationed in Cote d'Ivoire to safeguard the country's peace process.
