Turkish police found rocket-launchers, grenades and other ammunition buried in a field outside of the Turkish capital of Ankara, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Friday.
Under the light of some information documents seized in the house of Ibrahim Sahin, the former chief of the Special Forces, the police began excavating in a wooded area in Golbasi town, 20 km south of the capital city, according to the report.
During the excavations, police dug up rocket-launchers, grenades and ammunition, said the report.
It added that excavations are still underway in the area with the participation of a number of police officers.
More than 30 people were detained in raids across Turkey on Wednesday as police broadened the investigation known as Ergenekon probe.
The police operation was launched in six provinces, including Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Sivas and Tokat, after the High Criminal Court in Istanbul ordered the detentions of the suspects and the searches of their homes and workplaces upon a request of the prosecutor.
Turkish authorities have already prosecuted 86 people for allegedly planning a string of attacks before launching a coup to overthrow the Islamic-rooted government.
