OIC affirms support to Yemen: report

Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has affirmed its support to Yemen to conserve its unity, security and sovereignty on its territories, Yemen news agency SABA reported.
OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu expressed the support to Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh at their official talks on Saturday.
Ihsanoglu said the organization rejects violence and religion politicization for non-humanitarian purposes.
The two sides also dealt with the aid to the displaced people in Saada province who fled their homes due to the rebellion war ignited by the Houthis. Ihsanoglu said OIC would present aid worth3 million U.S. dollars to the displaced and intends to set up a lodging camp for 5,000 people.
The delegation accompanying Ihsanoglu will visit the refugee camps and assess their condition to report to the 57 members of the OIC.
President Saleh valued the organization's supportive position to Yemen and its efforts in supporting the war-affected people in Saada province.
Yemen is one of the founding members of the OIC.
