The sales revenues of China's electronics and IT industry reached 2.1 trillion yuan in the first half of 2007, up 18 percent on last year.

Zhou Zixue, a senior official with the Ministry of Information Industry, released the figures at a forum in this east China coastal city.

During the period, the industry's added value jumped by 17 percent on last year to 380 billion yuan while trade volume increased by 22 percent on last year to 352 billion U.S dollars, Zhou said.

The top two Chinese electronics enterprises' business revenues have surpassed 100 billion yuan each so far this year while another 25 exceeded 10 billion yuan, according to Zhou.
