Venezuela's United National Tax and Customs Service is stepping up efforts to reduce tax evasion, it was announced Tuesday. Ironmongers, construction materials providers, restaurants, hotels, bingo halls, casinos, mining companies and health services as well as suppliers of petrol and gas will be targeted in the drive to tackle tax dodgers, the service's chief Jose Gregorio Vielma Mora told local media. Efforts will first focus on the capital before being rolled out to the rest of the nation.
