U.S. Dollar tumbles to lower 111 yen level

The U.S. dollar fell to the lower 111 yen level at one point Friday, hitting its lowest level since early June last year.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 112.70-73 yen compared with Thursday's 5 p.m. quotes of 113.81-91 yen in New York and 116.05- 08 yen in Tokyo.

It moved between 111.60 yen and 114.60 yen during the day, trading most frequently at 112.40 yen.

The euro was quoted at 1.3407-3410 dollars and 151.13-17 yen against Thursday's 5 p.m. quotes of 1.3422-3432 dollars and 152.85- 95 yen in New York and 1.3437-3440 dollars and 155.97-156.01 yen in Tokyo.
