Gold price sharply lower in Hong Kong -- Aug. 17 |

The gold price in Hong Kong lost 129 HK dollars to 6,054 HK dollars per tael on Friday, according to the Bank of China (Hong Kong).
The price is equivalent to 651.52 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, down 13.11 U.S. dollars at Friday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.8 HK dollars.
