The second demonstration flight of an Airbus A380 jet on its Hong Kong tour, scheduled for Tuesday morning, has been canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions, Airbus announced.
The superjumbo's first demonstration flight over Hong Kong's Victoria Harbor attracted many residents on Monday, prompting the company to announce a second demonstration flight conditional on favorable weather conditions Tuesday.
The weather was mainly rainy and cloudy across Hong Kong Tuesday morning.
The world's biggest passenger jet, 72.8 meters long and with a wingspan of 79.8 meters, arrived in Hong Kong on Monday evening, one day ahead of the Asian Aerospace International Expo and Congress, held in Hong Kong from Sept. 3 to Sept. 6.
The A380 heads to Seoul, South Korea, Wednesday on its promotion tour.
