Hong Kong stocks soar to new intraday high |

Hong Kong's benchmark Hang Seng Index surged 397.08 points to the new intraday high of 24,283.15 shortly after morning open Wednesday.
Analysts attributed the rise to strong gains in U.S. and European markets on increasing hopes of a U.S. rate cut.
The previous record for intraday performance, at 24,127.16, was set on Tuesday.
