World oil prices rose Friday, supported by concerns about tight supplies and expectations OPEC will keep output steady at a long-awaited meeting next week.
Despite recent price hikes, most analysts do not expect the oil producer's cartel to raise its production quotas when it meets in Vienna next Tuesday.
New York's main oil futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in October, closed up 40 cents at 76.70 dollars a barrel.
In London, the price of Brent North Sea crude for October delivery settled 30 cents higher at 75.07 dollars per barrel.
