Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi said on Saturday that China is willing to work with all nations to seek mutual benefit through common development.

"China's development is inseparable from other parts of the world, while global prosperity can not be achieved without China," said Wu in a speech delivered at the 11th China International Investment and Trade Fair held in Xiamen, a coastal city in southeastern Fujian Province.

The annual investment and trade fair, which used to mainly help China attract overseas investment, had become a "globally influential" platform where many nations converge to enhance economic cooperation, said Wu.

The 10 previous fairs enabled Chinese companies to find partners for overseas investment, while providing multinationals with business opportunities in China.

In the past 10 years China made a great contribution to the world economy as the country rapidly integrated itself with the rest of the world, said Wu.

The vice-premier also said China's new rules on processing trade and acquisitions by foreign companies may have an impact on some foreign investors. But these policies serve the aim of providing an equal, open and standardized market environment for all enterprises.

Wu advised global investors on expanding cooperation with China in the service sector, environmental protection and regional and technological development.

According to statistics from the fair's organizers, 415 overseas organizations and 10,000 people from more than 100 nations and regions have participated in the fair, which will be held from Sept. 8 to 11.

During the previous fair last year, participants signed contracts on 1,086 investment projects worth 21.66 billion U.S. dollars.

More than 1,000 overseas organizations displayed their products at the fair, with 13,000 overseas and domestic investment deals inked.
